You are invited to participate in the 2025 Ox Roast Parade. You may come "just as you are" or, if you want to enter the parade contest, you should dress or have your entry decorated according to the theme "Small Town USA, West Jefferson PRIDE". Any entry, including festival queens and/or courts, can be judged for the contest if decorated to the theme. Winners will be chosen for each of the following categories: floats, bicycles, wagons, pets, and walkers. Winners will be posted on the Ox Box Building on the Ox Roast Grounds following the parade. It will be your responsibility to pick up your prize during the Ox Roast festival.

Parade Begins at 12 Noon
Your invited to participate in the 2025 Ox Roast Parade. Our them this year is Small Town USA, West Jefferson PRIDE. You may come "just as who you are" or, if you want to be judged, you should dress or have your entry decorated according to the theme. Any entry, including festival queens and/or courts can be judged if decorated to the theme. Winners for the categories of floats, bicycles, trailers/wagons, pets, and walkers will be posted on the Ox Box Building on the Ox Roast Grounds following the parade. It will be your responsibility to pick up your prize during the Ox Roast Festival.
Let’s represent our small town and the pride we all share in living here. Were you once a Roughrider State Champion? Were you in the marching/jazz/concert band? Do you have some farm animals you want to parade through town? If the answer is yes, we would love to have you join the parade this year and represent our fantastic little town.
For safety purposes of participants and onlookers, please adhere to the following:
· All candy should be tossed "underhanded" to the side of the street.
· Youths on three-wheelers, dirt bikes, scooters, golf carts, motorcycles, ATV's, etc. must be accompanied by an adult. Absolutely no speeding or "popping wheelies" will be tolerated.
· If you walk with a vehicle, you may stop but the vehicle must continue to move.
· PLEASE DO NOT LITTER. DISCARD ALL TRASH IN A PROPER PLACE OR TAKE IT
WITH YOU FOR DISPOSAL LATER.
NEW THIS YEAR: You can pick up a registration form when you arrive and fill it out on the day of the parade or you can file out and print your entry form and mail to: Amy Salyer 312 Haymarket Road West Jefferson, OH 43162. If you mail your entry form in, we will bring it with us when we arrive at the parade. Either way, we will ensure you are registered.

Line up according to group on the registration form. When you report to the registration area, you will be given a number to place on your entry that corresponds to the number on your Announcer Sheet. That number must be visible by our "spotters." If your entry is a vehicle, please place the number on the driver's sideof the windshield. Other entries should place the number on the front of their entry, if possible. Bring tape or some other means of attaching the number to your entry.
THE PARADE ROUTE IS US 40 (Main Street) to Center and will proceed through the Community Center area and turn right onto Cemetery Road. VFW may still turn at the gazebo, American Legion may go straight, and any others who must proceed on 40 may do so. Queens may get off their floats at the shelter house and walk to the stage from there.
